Getting ready

I think I have everything I need now. I think I am pretty prepared. I have my list and I am starting to pack up the suitcases. I am now waiting for a little closer look at the weather for Orlando to see if we need more shorts than pants etc. I have the Disney back pack ready, the carry on ready, and our money and passports ready. After this weekend, I will be packing every day and cleaning the house. I like to leave with a clean house, so upon our return, the house is clean and I only have to worry about unpacking.

Booking off

I just notified the school of the kids absence while we are away. Both teachers and the office know we will be away for 8 school days.
Girls teacher will be sending her home some work to do before we go, so upon her return she is about where the rest of the class is. She has also been asked to keep a journal. We will take lots of pictures, and write a journal when we get home about the things we did and saw. Her classmate is one of the friends we are meeting up with there so they can write about that as well.
Boy isn't missing too much, a little bit of reading, but that is OK. The experience of the vacation is education in itself.
Husband has booked work off, and I have found someone to cover 2 of my classes that I will be missing. We are almost all set.

summer clothes sort out

This weekend, I am going to go through our summer clothes and pack away in the suitcases. I need to get the kids to try some stuff on, to make sure it fits OK, before I pack it. I think looking at the forecast, we will mostly bring shorts, and 2 pairs of pants, for days it gets cooler or the nights.
The excitement is mounting..

Ready to go

We just received our booking paperwork, luggage tags, magical express tags and finalized report of our trip details from our travel agent today. She came to the house to drop it off. Now that is what I call service.
If we go on another trip again, we will definitely go through her, she is wonderful, and knows her stuff. She goes out of her way to email you back with long detailed emails and helps out in any way she can. I am glad we went through her, as she has given so much detail to us regarding our trip and what to do and how to get around, I think we would be lost without her.
Today I am going to sort the suitcases, add the luggage tags and just get a few things ready, there will be enough to do the last few days, if I can get some stuff done now I will.

Meeting up with Friends

I just found out that while we are in Disney we will be meeting up with some friends of ours who will be down there at the same time we will be.
The first day we are there, will be day 2 for them and we are going to meet them at the magic Kingdom (place to be determined) to see Wishes.

Then we are going to meet them on the 26th and have dinner together at Wolfgang Pucks in Downtown Disney.

It will be nice to see them there, and be able to join up with them and see how everyone is doing and what they are enjoying most.

Should be a very memorable trip

Picking up things needed

Yesterday as I was out at the stores, I picked up lots of things needed for our trip.
I still have lots to buy, but I can cross a few things off my list. I picked up some,
goldfish snack bags for the kids
Koolaid singles to flavor our water
Gravol
wipes
purell
gum for the plane
a box of oatmeal singles for breakfasts.

We are on the Disney Dining plan, but our agent advised us it is better to use your credits for big meals and bring your own breakfast. We still might eat out for breakfast once or twice or buy bakery items the night before with our snack credits and eat them the next day for breakfast. We will have to see while we are down there.

Today we are bringing up our suitcases, and starting to organize things and pack what we have ready in the cases. I still have lots to do and buy... This month will be all about Packing and everything Disney.
